James W. Myers

James W. Myers, 70, Greensburg, passed away on Monday, May18, 2009 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Greensburg. Born, October 20, 1938 in Greensburg, Indiana, he was the son of Ray Thomas and Alma Catherine (Shoopman) Myers. He was a tree trimmer for Nelson Tree Service from 1978 until 1992 and he also did concrete work. He was a member of the 1st Southern Baptist Church. He was married to Virginia Cain on June 17, 1995 and she survives. He is also survived by one son, Everett Plowman, Greensburg; three daughters, Jenny Plowman, Greensburg, Karen Plowman, Greensburg, Tonya Myers, Connersville; two brothers, Steve Myers, Rushville, Tom Myers, Greensburg; two sisters, Carol Fry, Greensburg, Rita Westerman, Rushville; several foster children; 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lynn Bergen; four sisters, Barbara Sue Myers, Betty Shafer, Phyllis Myers, Sandra Myers; 2 grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Keith Dover officiating.
