Everett Joseph Wenning 94, Millhousen, In., passed away June 10, 2009 in Decatur County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg. He was born October 20, 1914 in Ripley County,In., to John T. Wenning and Josephine (Mauer) Wenning. He married Mary Ann Stuhrenberg on May 11, 1955. They recently celebrated their 54th. Wedding anniversary. He proudly served in WW II as an electrician from 1942 until 1945. Everett owned and operated his own electrical business in Millhousen, In., before taking his experience to Gulf Plastics and Crown Zellerbach where he retired in 1979. He was a Charter Member of the Knights of St.John, Millhousen and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Millhousen. He was a man of few words who was known for his love of tinkering, wood-working and gardening. Everett is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Wenning and his four children; Mary Jo Wenning, Millhousen, John H. (Diane) Wenning, Greensburg, Martha (Rex) Johnson and Andrew (Raquel) Wenning both of Columbus,In.. He is also survived by a brother, Edmund Wenning, Osgood,In., Two sisters Bernice Hessler, Richmond, In. and Hilda Garrison, Urbana, Ohio. Grandchildren; Ken Wenning, Tequesta, Fl., Amber Wenning,Greensburg, Derek and Daren; Jennifer, Kathryn, Michael Wenning; and Tia and Rocky Hooker all of Columbus, In.. Visitation from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2009 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home, Greensburg. Rosary service at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Funeral Services 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Millhousen, In.. Services by Rev. Robert Hankee officiating. Memorial contributions to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or Knights of St. John, Millhousen.
