Derek M. Stromski, 24, Greensburg, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital.
Born, July 25, 1984 in Rushville, Indiana, he was the son of Michael Stromski and Joy (Allen) Oakley.
Derek graduated from the University of Northwestern in Ohio with an associate degree in high performance engines. He was employed at Wolfe Theatres in Greensburg. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his dirt bike.
He is survived by parents, Bob and Joy Oakley, Greensburg, Michael and Sharon Stromski, Wyoming; step father, Steve Browning, Rushville; Step grandparents, Dyar and Dottie Oakley, Greensburg, Link and Glenda Fraley, Rushville; one sister, Hannah Browning, Greensburg; aunts and uncles, Allen and Bonnie Farthing, David and Robin McDonald, Bruce and Missy Christian, Penny and Jerry Adams, Terry and Jodi Christian, Rick Christian, Sandy and Phil Brown, Linda and Ron Koors, David and Kelly Oakley; several cousins and the love of his life, Lindsay Abrams, Rushville
Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Friday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Ron Lucas officiating.
Interment will be held in the Kingston Cemetery.
