Stanley L. McHenry, 92, Greensburg, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2009 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital.
Born, September 21, 1916 in Greensburg, Indiana, he was the son of Fred and Mamie (Knarr) McHenry.
He was the former owner of McHenry’s Radio Service in Greensburg. He graduated from St. Paul High School. He then joined the Army and served in WW II. He was wounded in battle in Italy. He received two bronze stars and the Purple Heart.
He was married to Dollie Brown and she survives.
He is survived by his wife and one sister.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Visitation will be from 4-6:00 p.m. Friday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2009 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Frank R. Smith officiating.
Interment will be held in the Wofford Cemetery in Wofford, Kentucky on Monday.
