Melissa Williams

Melissa Williams, 92, Greensburg, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. Born, June 12, 1917 in Jefferson Co., Indiana she was the daughter of Henry G. and Ella (Gray) Warren. Melissa worked as a cook for several restaurants in the Greensburg area. She was a member of the First Church of God and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was married to Kenneth W. Williams on December 22, 1967 and he preceded her in death on December 24, 1984. She is survived by one son, Billy Warren, Sr., Greensburg; one sister, Letha LeMasters, Greensburg; a niece, Lillian Beaty, Albany, Ky., several other nieces and nephews; 3 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Arno, Harry and Harold Warren; one sister, Laura Bowen; one granddaughter, Melanie Barlowski. Visitation will be from 9-11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with Rev. John Mattern officiating. Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the First Church of God.
