Jerome W. “Jerry” Jacobs, 75, Millhousen, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2009 at his residence.
Born, August 18, 1933 in Decatur Co., Indiana, he was the son of Jerome W. and Thelma F. (Roth) Jacobs.
He was a carpenter and also worked as a custodian for several years at the North Decatur Schools. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen and the VFW in Napoleon.
He was veteran of the Army serving in the Korean War.
He was married to Elaine G. Mehring on December 26, 1955, and she survives.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Lisa (James) Pulskamp, Greensburg; four sons, Gordon (Annette) Jacobs, Utah, Derek (Barbara) Jacobs, Greensburg, Michael (Sandra) Jacobs, London, England, David (Dianna) Jacobs, Greensburg; two brothers, Daniel Jacobs, Greenfield, James Jacobs, Pigeon Forge, Tn.; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Charles Jacobs.
Visitation will be from 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen.
Funeral Services will follow at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen with Rev. Rob Hankee officiating.
Interment will be held in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery. Military graveside services will be held.
Memorials may be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
