Imogene Henry

Imogene Henry, 83, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016 at the St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Born April 16, 1933 in Decatur County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Melvin and Lucinda (Couch) Cox.  She graduated from Clarksburg High School.  She had worked in nursing as a caregiver.  She was a member of the Greensburg Wesleyan Church.  She was married to William J. "Jay" Henry on August 8, 1989 and he survives.  She is also survived by three sons, Steven D. (Michelle) Holcomb, Lafayette, Charles R. "Chuck" (Donna) Thomerson, Talladega, Al., Gregory B. (Margie) Thomerson, Lexington, KY; one step son, Douglas G. (Kelly) Henry, Columbia, SC; two daughters, Cynthia (Dan) Charles, Greensburg, Jennifer Holcomb, Greensburg; 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, Harold Holcomb, 2nd husband, C. Raymond Thomerson; step son, Dennis C. Henry; step daughter, Marie Gosnell; four brothers, Willard (Mildred) Cox, Hubert (Carmen) Cox, Harold (Allie) Cox, Melvin (Marge) Cox, Jr.; three sisters, Nettie (Joe) Grote, Jannivee (Clarence) Musser, Marylou  (Harold) Woodard.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10 to 1:00 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.  Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at the funeral home with Rev. Doug Preston and Rev. George Mitchell officiating.  Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
