Phyllis M. Lichty, 83, of Greensburg went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Greensburg. Phyllis was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on June 20, 1933 to Durward and Natalie (Roesink) Harper. Phyllis graduated from Creston High School in Grand Rapids in 1951 and attended Owosso Bible College in Owosso, Michigan. She worked for 20 years as a secretary for Douglass and Nelson Abstract, Inc. in Covington, Indiana. She was a member of the Greensburg Wesleyan Church. Her lifetime was filled with serving others and her church. She played piano and was active in teaching Sunday School. Phyllis always found the good in everyone she met. Her favorite times were spent with ‘her girls’, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Phyllis had been married to Donald Lichty for 31 years and he survives. She is also survived by two daughters; Cindy (Ed) Daihl and Brenda (Phil) Bogear, all of Greensburg, one sister; Sharon Hendrick, Grand Rapids Michigan, three grandchildren; Emily (Dustin) Lafferty, Megan (Adam) Parks, Abigail (Andy) Donaldson, and 8 great grandchildren; Nathan, Connor, Michael, and Anna Lafferty, Audrey and Nora Parks, and Morgan and Collin Donaldson. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home on Monday, March 6 from 10am-12pm followed by Funeral Services at 12 pm with Rev. Doug Preston officiating. Burial will follow at Union Presbyterian Cemetery in Letts. Memorials can be made to the Greensburg Wesleyan Church.
