Lorraine M. Spillman, 81, Greensburg, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at her residence in Greensburg.
Born, January 16, 1928 in Greensburg, she was the daughter of Charles F. and Bessie M. (Robbins) Hood.
Lorraine graduated from Greensburg High School. She was the secretary and bookkeeper for Spillman Brothers Construction. Prior to that, she was a secretary for Camp Atterbury and also a secretary for Capital Building in Indianapolis.
She was married to James Thomas Spillman on November 26, 1949 and he preceded her in death on February 7, 2007.
She is survived by two daughters, Sue Magargel, Forest Hill, Sara Hankins, Hartsville; two brothers, James L. Hood, Greensburg, Leland E. Hood, New Castle; one sister, Dorothy Foster, Greensburg; five grandchildren, David (Jaime) Magargel, Michelle DeBoard, Elaine Breeck, Jim (Jodi) Hankins, Paul (Lesa) Hankins; 5 great grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Lloyd E. Hood, Charles R. Hood, Scott Hood; two sisters, Margaret Bills, Sally Holbrook; one great grandson, Alexander Hankins.
Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Walker officiating.
Interment will be held in the Shiloh Cemetery in Decatur County, Indiana.
