Thomas B. Howard

Thomas B. Howard, 74, Greensburg, died Sunday, September 6, 2009 at his residence in Greensburg. Born, February 22, 1935 in Greensburg, he was the son of Loyd Lee and Sally C. (Craig) Howard. He graduated from Greensburg High School. He worked at Bohn Aluminum for several years and then he worked at the Greensburg Water Company and the Greensburg Street Department. He served in the Army from 1957 through 1959. He was married to Glynna E. Cardinal on June 4, 1983 and she preceded him in death on July 15, 2004. He is survived by two step-sons, James Draut, Cincinnati, Howard “Butch” Draut, Arkansas; two step-daughters, Carol Combs, Middletown, OH, June Payne, Germantown, OH.; two brothers, Donald (Janie) Howard, Greensburg, Ronnie (Patty) Howard, Greensburg; two sisters, Mayme L. Welch, Greensburg, Betty Jo Shafer, Greensburg; several nieces and nephews; numerous step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Visitation will be from 4-6:00 p.m. Thursday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Wolford officiating. Graveside services will be held at South Park Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation.
