Alice Marie Johns

Alice Marie Johns, 87, Greensburg, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. Born, December 27, 1921 in Batesville, she was the daughter of Fred and Bertha (Boyce) Weber. Alice had worked at the Hughes Aircraft Industries in California from 1953-1964. She knew Howard Hughes personally. She had been a member of the Faith Baptist Church. She was married to Max Hughes and he preceded her in death. She then married Theodore Johns and he also preceded her in death. She is survived by one brother, Wayne (Laverne) Weber, Greenwood; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands; two brothers, Harry Weber, Howard Weber; two sisters, Elsie Ralston, Millie Melcher. Visitation will be from 9-11:00 a.m. Friday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 18, 2009 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Dan Selby officiating. Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana.
