Wilford H. "Buck" Collins

Wilford H. “Buck” Collins, 94, Greensburg, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. Born, March 24, 1915 in Jennings County, he was the son of Omer Emerson and Alsina (Davidson) Collins. Wilford worked for D & M Manufacturing Company in Connersville from June 16, 1944 until he retired on February 28, 1978. He was a member of the Union Baptist Church, the Eagles Lodge, and a former member of the Moose Lodge. He was married to Lillie Glenn Minary on June 28, 1954 in Connersville, and she survives. He is also survived by two daughters; Anna Jo Patton, Wilkesboro, NC, Treva Sue (Bob) Leonard, Indianapolis, IN, one step-daughter; Evelyn Jane Gates, Hillard, FL, 8 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; Merlin and John Robert Collins, and one sister; Mary Downey Hamer. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Monday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Gary Litten officiating. Interment will be held in the Union Baptist Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana.
