Keith L. Greve, 76, Greensburg, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at his residence in Greensburg. Born, April 28, 1933 in Montgomery County, Indiana, he was the son of Raymond T. and Verna (Harder) Greve. Keith graduated from Waveland High School in 1951. He served in Germany in the Army from 1955 through 1957. Keith graduated from Butler University with a Masters Degree in 1959. While at Butler, he played on the basketball and baseball teams. He then taught school for 35 years and coached for 15 years. He coached at New Ross High School for 3 years, Danville High School for 3 years and then Greensburg High School for 9 years. He coached basketball, baseball and cross country. In basketball his teams won 1 county championship, 6 sectional titles and 3 regional titles. After his retirement from coaching he became Athletic Director for 28 years at Greensburg High School, retiring in 1995. He was inducted into the Montgomery County Hall of Fame, the Butler University Hall of Fame and the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame. He was a member of the Community Church of Greensburg. He was married to Martha M. Priebe on March 26, 1955 she survives. He is also survived by two sons, Pastor Greg (Terri) Greve, Arcanum, OH, Tom (Prudy) Greve, Milford, OH; one daughter, Marsha (Dave) Reynolds, Flagstaff, AZ; one brother, Bill Greve, Indianapolis; three sisters, Edna Mae Jones, Grand Ledge, MI, Joann Bullerdick, Crawfordsville, Phyllis Sullivan, Indianapolis; eight grandchildren, Josh, Gabe, Molly, Nathan, Ben, Jordan, Caleb and Josiah. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Raymond and Leonard; one sister, Virginia Hunsicker. Keith was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to play sports and watch (with critiquing) them as well. His main time & energy was spent with his family. He loved to play golf (and win) and he loved to come home with his big bag of mushrooms in the spring. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be from 2-6:00 p.m. Sunday at the Community Church of Greensburg, 1427 W. Vandalia Rd. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 9, 2009 at the Community Church of Greensburg with Pastor Greg Greve and Pastor Jon Porter officiating. Graveside services will be held in the Freedom Cemetery in Montgomery Co., Indiana at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10th with military graveside services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hospice of Decatur County, 1201 N. Lincoln St., Suite A, Greensburg, IN 47240, www.hospiceofsouthcentralindiana.org.
