Ricky L. Pennington

Ricky L. Pennington, 49, Greensburg, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at his residence in Greensburg. Born, August 31, 1960 in Connersville, Indiana, he was the son of Roy Pennington and Joann (Venter) Bode. He worked for Best Way in Decatur County. He was a veteran of the Army serving from 1979 through 1983. He was married to Patricia Poe on February 4, 1984 in Connersville and she survives. He is also survived by his mother and step father, Joann and Bob Bode, Greensburg,; his step mother, Donna Pennington, Connersville; two sons, Joshua Pennington, in the military, Jesse Pennington, Greensburg; three brothers, Brent Pennington, Texas, Briant Pennington, Connersville, Roy Pennington, Connersville; five sisters, Brenda (Wayne) Chandler, Connersville, Bev (Richard) Wesseler, Greensburg, Barb (Richard) Herbert, Greensburg, Bonnie (Steven) Motz, Greensburg, Lisa (Chris) Brooks, Greenwood; two step sisters, Jeanette (Jeff) Sterling, Connersville, Janell Bennett, Connersville; one grandson, Logan. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at the funeral home with Rev. Doug Preston officiating. Interment will be held in the Dale Cemetery in Connersville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family through the funeral home.
