Chester L. Underhill, 82, Greensburg, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2009 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Greensburg.
Born, April 14, 1927 in French Lick, Indiana, he was the son of Martin and Rosa Belle (Phillips) Underhill.
He was retired from working at Arvin Industries. He was a member of the Rodney Wesleyan Church.
He was a veteran of the Army.
He was married to Mary Ruth Ruble on November 20, 1976 and she preceded him in death on March 10, 2004.
He is survived by three step-sons; James Allen (Sheila) Wright, Greensburg, Jeffery Wayne (Janet) Wright, Clifford, IN, Joe Harrison (Linda K.) Wright, Columbus; one brother, Kenneth Underhill, French Lick; one sister, Dona Black, Greensburg; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; six brothers, Orvel Underhill, Elsworth Underhill, Albert Underhill, Robert Underhill, Floyd Underhill, William Harold Underhill; two sisters, Verna Adkins and Linda Williams.
Visitation will be from 9-11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Michael Miller officiating.
