Irene C. Wenning

Irene C. Wenning, 73, Lafayette, formerly of Greensburg, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2009 at the Regency Place of Lafayette. Born, December 1, 1936 in Greensburg, she was the daughter of William G. and Helen S. (Draping) Menkedick. Irene graduated from Greensburg High School on 1956, and was a member of the St. Maurice Catholic Church. She was married to Clarence M. Wenning on September 18, 1958 and he preceded her in death on March 23, 1996. She is survived by one son, William T. Wenning, Greensburg; two daughters, Jo Ann Ward, W. Lafayette, Susan (William) Gallagher, Lafayette; and 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother; Dale L. Menkedick. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at the St. Maurice Catholic Church in St. Maurice with Rev. Bernard Varghese officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Maurice Catholic Cemetery in St. Maurice, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the St. Maurice Catholic Church.
