Powell A. Luber, 91, Greensburg, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the Arbor Grove Village in Greensburg.
Born, March 3, 1918 in Engelberg, Arkansas, he was the son of Henry A. and Bertha (Ausman) Luber.
Powell graduated Oram Mississippi High School. He was a retired farmer. He also had worked at Delta Faucet Co., Farm Bureau Co-Op and at the Wal Mart.
He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg, the VFW, and the Knights of Columbus.
He was a veteran of the Army serving in World War II.
He was married to Lena Deloris Roberts on January 2, 1946 she survives.
He is also survived by two sons, David Luber, Greensburg, Robert (Debbie) Luber, Westport; Linda Luber, Greensburg, Mary (Bernie) Green, Greensburg; 10 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, 1 half brother, and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A public rosary service will be held on Wednesday at 3:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. Lucas officiating.
Interment will be held in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg.
The VFW will conduct military graveside services.
