Cecil S. Moody, Sr., 74, Greensburg, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010 at the Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, In.
Born, May 10, 1935 in Batesville, Indiana, he was the son of Lester and Maria (Ashcraft) Moody.
He was a retired machine operator from the Randall Corp after working 23 years.
He was a member of the Batesville United Methodist Church, the American Legion Post #2899 in Batesville, the VFW #3183 in Batesville and the Eagles Lodge.
He was a veteran of the Air Force.
He was married to Ada Maria Summers on November 15, 1958 and she survives.
He is also survived by three sons, Jesse (Amy) Moody, Greensburg, Jay Moody, Greensburg, Joey (Robin) Moody, Greensburg; two daughters, Patricia (Paul) Webb, Greensburg, Rhonda (Robert) Fleenor, St. Omer; one brother, Vernon Moody, Batesville; two sisters, Carolyn (Connie) Browder, Greensburg, Shirley Herbert, Milan; 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two son, Aaron Dean Moody, Cecil S. Moody, Jr.; two brothers, Robert Moody, Jesse L. Moody; one sister, Cordelia Thelma Hoegeman; one grandchild, Jerica Cheyanne Linville; one great grandchild, Erin Nicole Badgley.
Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Friday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Dan Selby officiating.
Interment will be held in the Sandcreek Cemetery in Greensburg.
The American Legion and VFW will conduct military graveside services.
Memorials may be made to the funeral home to help the family with funeral expenses.
