Rita Marie Lawrence

Rita Marie Lawrence, 80, Greensburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at her residence. Born, October 31, 1929 in Decatur County, she was the daughter of William and Catherine (Laudick) Loechle. Rita had retired after several years of service from the Indiana State House. She had recently worked at Crafts & Occasions in Greensburg. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the St. Lawrence Ladies Auxiliary and the Eagles Auxiliary. She is survived by two sons, William (Brenda) Lawrence, Greensburg, Danny Lawrence, Greensburg; three sisters, Mary Humpert, Greensburg, Alberta McQueen, Greensburg, Loretta (Carl) Suding, Illinois; four grandchildren, Shelley Hadler, Kimberly Nobbe, Tracy Smith, Scott Lawrence; 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, William Loechle; one great grandson, Christopher Walker. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Friday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A public rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg with Msgr. Harold Knueven officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Maurice Catholic Cemetery in St. Maurice, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the St. Mary’s Catholic School.
