Arthur L. "Art" Blanford, 73, Greensburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at his residence in Greensburg. Born, May 27, 1937 in Bartholomew Co., Indiana, he was the son of George Elmer and Ollie (Mankin) Blanford. He was a former automobile mechanic. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg, the American Legion Post #129 and the Eagles Lodge. He was a veteran of the Air Force. He was married to Sandra Kay Burton on October 19, 1965 she survives. He is also survived by three sons, John (Rhonda) Blanford, Nashville, Tn., Terry Blanford, Only, Tn., Art Blanford, Greensburg; two daughters, Julie Blanford, Nashville, Tn., Patricia (Jeff) Jones, Greensburg; one brother, Elmer (Janice) Blanford, Greensburg; two sisters, Doris Branson, Greensburg, Ann (Junior) Hicks, Shelbyville; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Norma Wright. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. Friday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral home in Greensburg with Msgr. Harold Knueven officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg. The American Legion Post #129 will conduct military graveside services.
