Dora L. Waters

Dora L. Waters, 96, Millhousen, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. Born, January 6, 1914 in Ripley Co. Indiana, she was the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Wilmer) Herbert. Dora was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen. She was married to Willard P. Waters on September 30, 1939 and he was killed in WW II in Belgium on March 5, 1945. She is survived by two children, Arnold (Sylvia) Waters, Greensburg; Joan (William) Meyer, Greensburg; five grandchildren, Andrea Nicholas, Tara Davis, Heather Corya, Janice Mangels, Victor Meyer; seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Edward, John and Robert Herbert; four sisters, Nettie Hardebeck, Martha Hardebeck, Mary Herbert and Magdelene Herbert. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A public rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen. Interment will be held in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Immaculate Conception Cemetery Fund.
