Mary C. Rigby, 66, Franklin, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington, Indiana. Born, November 27, 1943 in Greensburg, she was the daughter of Roscoe A. and Thelma M. (Martin) Oliphant, Sr. Mary had worked for the Carol Cook Dress Factory, the Ranch Supermarket and Wheaton Tubing. She was married to John Paul Rigby on August 12, 1961 and he preceded her in death on March 1, 1993. She is survived by her mother, Thelma Oliphant, North Vernon; two son, Timothy J. (Donna) Rigby, Russellville, Al, Austin (Debbie Hacker) Rigby, Columbus; two Daughters, Melanie (Ivan) Neal, Westport, Paula (John) Wimmenauer, Brown County; one brother, Roscoe Oliphant, Jr., Arizona; two sisters, Barbara (Butch) Merritt, Seymour, Yvonne Oliphant, North Vernon; 24 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father; her husband; one sister, Beverly Schwering; one great granddaughter, Hayleigh Lebo. Visitation will be from 10-12:00 noon Saturday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with Rev. John Mattern officiating. Interment will be held in the Hebron Cemetery in Adams, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
