Marjorie J. Carel

Marjorie J. Carel, 79, Greensburg, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the Arbor Grove Village in Greensburg. Born, June 1, 1931 in Adams, Indiana, she was the daughter of Silas F. and Dorothea M. (Haley) Rigby, Sr. She was a member of the First Church of God and the Women's Group at the church. She was married to Mervin W. Carel on October 25, 1947 and he preceded her in death on April 3, 1998. She is survived by one daughter, Monica (Donald) Caster, Greensburg; one brother, Carl Rigby, Greensburg; three sisters, Betty Moore, Greensburg, Carolyn Stringer, Greensburg, Wanda Ralston, Letts; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Mervin Carel, Jr.; one daughter, Marcia Stuart; four brothers, Kenny, Frank, John Paul and Silas Rigby, Jr.; four sisters, Edna Rigby, Joan Rigby, May Louise Rigby, Mary Carel. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Friday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2010 at the funeral home with Rev. John Mattern officiating. Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society or to the First Church of God.
