Bernadine Hessler

Bernadine Hessler, 92, Greensburg, died on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at her residence with her daughter, Bonnie by her side. Born, June 25, 1927 in Connersville, Indiana, she was the daughter of Luther and Myrtle (Johnson) Witt. She was a graduate of Connersville High School.  She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church. She was a loving housewife to John D. “Jack” Hessler whom she married on June 30, 1944 in Connersville and he preceded her in death on February 25, 2009. She is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Hamilton, Greensburg; one brother, Tony Vernon (Martha) Witt, Fairland; three sisters, Barbara (Marion) Weston, Connersville, Linda (Rodney) Blaes, Connersville, Pat Black, Florida; adopted grandchild, Paul Joe (Lisa) Sweezey; four great grandchildren, Josh, Nate, Denny, and Jess; one great great grandson, Easton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Jack; her adored grandson, David Brent Hamilton; son in law, David Lee Hamilton; two brothers; Voley Witt and Bob Witt; two sisters, Virginia “Jenny” Johnson and Jerry Blair. Due to the recent public health safety mandate of limited gatherings, a private graveside service will be held for the immediate family at the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg with Rev. Tony Evan Witt officiating.  Memorials may be made to the Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
