Bertha M. "Bert" Dilkes

Bertha M. “Bert” Dilkes, 92, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at the Morning Breeze Health Campus in Greensburg due to complications from a stroke.  Born January 8, 1928 in Millhousen, Indiana, she was the daughter of Francis M. and Theresia M. (Hardebeck) Hessler.  Bert was an animal lover.  She was married to Billy Jim Dilkes on January 11, 1947 and he preceded her in death on November 20, 2016. She is survived by one son, Billy Jim Dilkes, Jr.; two daughters, Jo Ann (John) Marlow and Cathy (Victor) Dimes. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one sister, Marjorie Hessler.  There will be no services.  Memorials may be made to the Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or to the Decatur County Animal Shelter.
