Betty Jane Boing

Betty Jane Boing, 94, Greensburg, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Greensburg. Born, January 15, 1926 in Millhousen, Indiana, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Marcella (Fry) Redelman. Betty graduated from Napoleon High School. She was married James S. Boing on May 14, 1947 in Millhousen and they were married 53 years until his death in 2000. She was a homemaker and a cook for St Mary’s School for 32 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and a 50+ year member of the Daughters of Isabella. She is survived by three sons: Harold (Pat) Boing, Columbus, IN. Dale (Carol) Boing, Greensburg, and Larry (Michelle) Boing, Crest Hill, IL.; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by one brother, Ralph (Nancy) Redelman, Connersville, IN, two sisters, Marita Wagner, Carmel, IN, Rosella (Tom) Langlois, Indianapolis, IN, and sister-in-law, Mary Frances Redelman, Millhousen, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Paul Redelman and Carl Redelman. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2020 from 9-10:45 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg. A rosary service will be held at 10:45 followed by the funeral mass at 11:00 with Rev. John Geis officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary’s Church Building Fund or to the St. Mary’s School.
