Betty J. Chadwell

Betty J. Chadwell, 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Aspen Place Nursing Home in Greensburg. Born on October 4, 1928, in Greensburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of Arthur and Verne McGee.

Betty graduated from Sandusky High School in 1946. She was a member of the Sandusky Methodist Church and the Clinton Extension Homemakers association. Betty was a homemaker who enjoyed tending to her flowers, visiting with friends and neighbors, and spending time with family.

She married George Loren Chadwell on March 15, 1947, and he survives. She is also survived by her son George Arthur Chadwell (Janet); 2 grandchildren: Brad (Michelle) Chadwell, and Julie (Scott) Osborn; 5 great-grandchildren: Gabriel (Reagan) Chadwell, Tiffany (Ricky) Kelley, Lindsay Chadwell, Alana Osborn, and Colin Osborn.

Betty’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the loving care given to her by the caregivers and friends at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana and Aspen Place Nursing Home.

Visitation will be held from 12:30pm to 1:30pm on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will immediately follow the visitation at 1:30pm with Reverend Mike Seaney officiating.  Burial will take place at South Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to an organization of the donor’s choice.
