Betty J. Moore

Betty J. Moore, 93, Greensburg, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020 at the Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Greensburg.  Born, February 15, 1927 in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was the daughter of Silas F. and Dorothea (Haley) Rigby.  She married Robert Moore on April 29, 1946 in Covington, Kentucky and he preceded her in death on July 5, 2001.  She worked as a cook for North Decatur Elementary School for 32 years from 1978-2010.  She enjoyed the work and the kids.  She was a member of the First Church of God for many years.  She is survived by her son, Rick Moore, Sandusky; one brother, Carl Richard “Dick” Rigby; two sisters, Carolyn Stringer, Greensburg, Wanda Ralston, Letts; several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.  Private graveside services officiated by Rev. Terry Canfield were held at the Mt. Aerie Baptist Cemetery in Letts, Indiana.  Arrangements were entrusted to the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
