Bob C. McCord, 82, Greensburg, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at his residence.

Born, June 16, 1938 in Winchester, Kentucky, he was the son of Walter Phelps and Ethel Mae (Saylor) McCord.

Bob earned a bachelor’s degree in business.  He served in the US Air Force.  He worked for 42 years at Federal Mogul/BCA retiring in 2004.  He was a founding member of the former Moose Lodge in Greensburg. He enjoyed working in the yard. Bob coached for several years in the Greensburg Youth Baseball leagues. He was a huge Kentucky Wildcat fan. One of his favorite things to do was spend time with his family.

He was married to Margaret H. Fields on September 9, 1961 and she survives at home.

He is also survived by four children, David McCord, Tucson, AZ, Karen Myers, Greensburg, Gregory Allen (Cindy) McCord, Greensburg, Darryl Phelps McCord, Greensburg; five grandchildren, Amanda (Mike) Riehle, Julian Myers, Alyssa (Kyle) Lusk, Jared (Ashley) McCord, Samantha McCord; 14 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private funeral services will be held for the family followed by interment in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg.

Memorials may be made to the Greensburg Youth Baseball League through the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home.
