Bonnie J. Arnold

Bonnie J. Arnold, 88, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Arbor Grove Village in Greensburg. Born September 17, 1930 in Greensburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of Melvin T. and Stella F. (Hutchison) McNew.  She was married to Robert N. Arnold on January 19, 1950 and he preceded her in death on September 4, 1989. Bonnie graduated from Greensburg High School.  She worked for many years at the Greensburg Community Schools in the administration building. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Decatur County Hospital Auxiliary, Delta Theta Tau Sorority, The Eastern Star, and had been a volunteer for the American Heart Association. She is survived by two children, Lynda (Roger) Stipe, Oklahoma, James (Joanie) Arnold, Milford; one sister, Glenda (Tom) Porter, Greensburg; grandchildren, Kimberly (Todd) Abshire, Joseph Stipe (fiancée Jennifer Bray), Shawna Arnold, Callie Arthur; great grandchildren, Seth Powers and Madison Powers, Rory, Nolynn, and Gavyn Abshire, Scottlynn Stipe, Landry Arthur; great great grandchild, Miles Aguilera. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.  Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the funeral home with Rev. Terry Canfield officiating. Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
