Carol Jean Young

Carol Jean Young, 85, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020 at the Morning Breeze Health Campus in Greensburg. Born December 11, 1934 in Decatur County, Indiana, she was the daughter Edgar James and Telitha (Krone) Meyer.  Carol graduated from New Point High School in 1952.  She retired from Meyerrose Electric.  She had been a member of the St. Paul’s Smyrna Lutheran Church. She enjoyed collecting antiques, playing Bingo, and dining out with her husband. She was married to Arthur B. Young on September 25, 1954 and he preceded her in death on November 2, 2017. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Norman Meyer; three sisters, Velma I. Fry, Wanda J. Meyer, Linda A. Meyer. Due to the recent public health safety mandate of limited gatherings, a private graveside service will be held for the immediate family at the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Memorials may be sent to the St. Paul’s Smyrna Lutheran Church or to the St. Maurice Catholic Church in Napoleon.
