Carolyn Ann Schoettmer

June 6, 1938 — June 26, 2019

Carolyn Ann Schoettmer, 81, Millhousen, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at The Waters of Batesville.  Born on June 6, 1938 in Millhousen, she was the daughter of Walter and Clara (Berkemeier) Schoettmer.  Carolyn grew up and lived in Millhousen her entire life.  She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Knights of St. John Auxiliary both in Millhousen.  She was a member of a local card club for over 50 years.  One of her favorite hobbies was working crossword puzzle books and she loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.  Carolyn spent many years helping out the elderly and she also helped numerous families raise their children.  She is survived by two brothers; William (Jean) Schoettmer, Greensburg, Norbert Schoettmer, Greensburg, four sisters; Dorothy Snyder, Connersville, Helen Wagener, Millhousen, Mary Jane (Kenneth) Roberts, Greensburg, Susan (James) Buening, Florida, aunt; Rosemary Berkemeier, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.  Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law; Harold Snyder, sister-in-law; Mary Ann Schoettmer, great nephew; Caleb Nobbe, and great-great nephew; Mason Carmer.  A rosary service will start at 3:30 pm on Friday, June 28 followed by visitation until 8 pm at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home.  Visitation will also be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Saturday, June 29 from 8:30 am to 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 with Rev. John Meyer officiating.  Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.  Donations may be made in Carolyn’s honor to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
