Catherine J. Wittkamper

Catherine “Cathy” J. Wittkamper, 56, passed away on International Women’s Day, Friday, March 8, 2019 at the Morning Breeze in Greensburg. Cathy was born on February 1, 1963 to Leonard & Lorene (Werner) Brancamp.  She was one of nine children. She graduated with an Associate Degree from Indiana State University and worked at Delta Faucet Co. for 26 years.  She also had worked at Wal-Mart part-time for a short time.  Later, she volunteered at the food pantry at HIS in Greensburg.  She was an extremely social person and tended to speak her mind regardless. One of her sisters referred to her as a “beast”, because she seemed fearless.  She also loved animals and tried to save them all, even the ones she didn’t like, i.e. snakes and bugs. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen. She was married to Mark Wittkamper on September 23, 2000 and he survives. She is also survived by five children, Sophia Wittkamper, Westport, Brian Wittkamper, Westport, Stephanie Kohlman, Hope, Nicholas (Jessica) Kohlman, Westport, Samantha Kohlman, Columbus.  Her siblings are Matt (Kim) Brancamp, Napoleon, Veronica (Lloyd) Henderson, North Vernon, Linda (Glenn) Schuck, Osgood, Ann (David) Rolf, Greensburg, Flora (Dennis) Wagner, Osgood, Suzie (Jeff) Wagner, Osgood, Jennifer (Jeff) Eads, Shelbyville, Leonard “Bud” (April) Brancamp, Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents. Family and friends will gather at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home to pray the rosary.   Visitation will follow from 4 to 8:00 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.   The family will also receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen with Ref. Bill Turner officiating. Interment will be held in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Morning Breeze Bird Aviary or to the Our Hospice of Southeastern Indiana.
