Charles E. Fox , 85, better known as “Fox” of Greensburg passed away at Aspen Place on May 23, 2018. He was born April 22, 1933 in Shelby County to Chancy and Ida (Wilkens) Fox both of whom preceded him in death. This past March he celebrated 60 years of marriage to his wife JoAnn (Smith). Fox graduated from Morristown High School in 1951. He then enlisted in the Marine Corps where he served in the Korean War. He went to work for Omar Bakery in Indianapolis and then onto Colonial Bakery for six years as a route salesman. Fox then went to work for the Truck and Bus Division of General Motors for 31 ½ years retiring in 1991. He was a member of Local Union #23 where he served in various offices during his employment at General Motors. He was also a member of the Decatur County Conservation Club and the Greensburg American Legion. Fox thoroughly enjoyed fishing and trips to the casino. Fox is also survived by his three children, daughters Pamela (Steve) Pannasch of Crestview, FL , and Paula (Bruce) Copple of Greensburg and son, John (Deanna) Fox of Greensburg. Fox was the grandfather of seven grandsons, Stephen (Tracy) Huntington of Decatur, Alabama, Shawn (Lindsey) Huntington of Milton, FL, Bradley (Suzanne) Fox of Greensburg, Jason Fox of Indianapolis, Phillip (Kim) Pannasch of Virginia Beach, VA, Nicholas Pannasch of Hawaii, Ben (Macy) Copple of Indianapolis, and one granddaughter Danielle Fox of Indianapolis. Fox had the joy of being a great grandfather to six great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Lester Fox of Indianapolis and Oris May (Ray) Fox of Cape Coral, FL. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four sisters, Opal Fox, Eva Ray, Margaret Houston, and Ethel Wampner, and three brothers, Walter Fox, Vertis Lee Fox, and Roy Fox. At his request, graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at South Park Cemetery in Greensburg.
