Charles F. Schoettmer, 63, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020.

Born, July 31, 1957 in Rushville, Indiana, he was the son of Leonard B. and Mary Joan (Harpring) Schoettmer.

He was 1976 graduate of North Decatur High School. He had been a member of the Decatur County Fair Board for 8 years, a member of the NRA, and member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He had driven for Billman Trucking the past 4 years.

He was married to Margaret Louse Chaney on September 10, 1977 and she preceded him in death on July 31, 2020.

Survivors include sons, Lee (Amy) Schoettmer, Greensburg, Travis (Jenni) Schoettmer, Greensburg; daughter, Amber Schoettmer, Greensburg; grandchildren, Cody, Lane, Emma, Haylee, and Cooper Schoettmer; brothers, Steven (Anita) Schoettmer, Greensburg, Stanley (Carol) Schoettmer, Greensburg, Leonard (Jere) Schoettmer, Greensburg, Patrick (Mary) Schoettmer, New Egypt, NJ; sisters, Joyce (Duane) Comer, Greensburg, Mary Ann (Rob) Smith, Greensburg; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one brother, Joseph Schoettmer.

Visitation for family and friends, observing CDC and state guidelines for social distancing and facial coverings will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 10:30 to 12:30 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.  Graveside Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating.

Memorials may be made to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church or to the American Heart Association.
