Dale G. Koors

Dale G. Koors, 78, Greensburg, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at the Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg.  Born, February 16, 1939 in Decatur County, Indiana, he was the son of Lawrence A. and Susanne H. (Hahn) Koors.  Dale graduated in 1957 from Greensburg High School.  He served in the National Guard and then farmed his own farm from 1958 through 1970.  He later worked for the Corya Farms before his retirement.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Eagles of Batesville, and the St. Mary's Catholic Church.  He was first married to Carolyn Masters and they had five children; Mark A. (Gail) Koors, Westport, Michael D. (Ann) Koors, Greensburg, Chris D. (Karen) Koors, Shelbyville, Susan M. Crow, Kennard, Lisa D. (Charles) Lockert, Indianapolis.  He married Rosemary Nobbe on July 31, 1982 and she preceded him in death on January 24, 2008.  Besides his children, Dale is survived by one step son, Robert (Carla) Huber, Greensburg; two step daughters, Cheryl (Greg) Wulf, Canton, MI, Cynthia (Gary) Laker, Oldenburg; four brothers, Harold Koors, Arthur (Patty) Koors, Kenneth (Sally) Koors, and Stephen (Susan) Koors all of Greensburg; 21 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one step son, Anthony J. Huber. Family and friends will gather at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home for a rosary service.  Visitation will follow until 8:00 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.  The family will also receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the American Diabetes Association.
