Darlene G. Huff

Darlene G. Huff, 79, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at her home in Westport.  Born, December 14, 1938 in Greensburg, she was the daughter of Edwin and Nora (Vogel) Burgmeier.  She was a 1956 graduate of New Point High School.  She was a homemaker and raised five children on the family farm.  She enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning, and working in her flowers.  She also enjoyed attending the sporting events and activities of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She spent time traveling and playing euchre with her family and friends.  Her most memorable were her many trips to Las Vegas, where she would bless the airplane with Holy Water as she was boarding.  She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Millhousen.  She was married to Bernard L. Huff on July 9, 1958 and he preceded her in death on January 24, 2018.  Darlene is survived by two sons, Randy Huff, Greensburg, Brian (Lisa) Huff, Greensburg; three daughters, Tammy Condra, Westport, Kelly (Phil) King, Holton, Robyn (Jeff) Greiwe, Versailles; sister, Arlene Cook, Greensburg; sister-in-laws, Janice Burgmeier, Greensburg and Susie Huff, Osgood; eleven grandchildren, Kyle Condra, Jaclyn Condra, Laura Walsman, Jamie Huff, Cody King, Kasey King, Kayla King, Dustin Huff, Peyton Owens, Shayne Greiwe, Aaron Greiwe; four great grandchildren, Tinley Klene, Chase Walsman, Easton Walsman, and Baby Ripken Walsman.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard, her sister, Janet Dwenger; her brothers, Donny Burgmeier and Danny Burgmeier.  Family and friends will gather at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home for a rosary. Visitation will follow until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  The family will also receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen with Rev. Bill Turner officiating.  Interment will be held in the St. Denis Catholic Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the St. Denis Catholic Cemetery.
