Debra L. Flack

Debra Lynn "Debbie" Flack, born on April 10, 1954, passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, December 21, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was 70 years old.

Debbie shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, Dennis Flack. Together, they celebrated over 29 years of marriage, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She was a proud and loving mother to six children: Michelle Nugent (Donald Brumley) of Greensburg, Indiana; Michael (Alanie) Flack of Columbus, Indiana; Christina Gregory (Russ Allee) of Cape Coral, Florida; CeeJay (Alex) Sevilla of Brigham, Utah; Tony (Emily) Flack of Franklin, Indiana; and Taylor Powers of Greensburg, Indiana. Debbie’s heart swelled with pride and joy as she embraced her role as grandmother to 13 beloved grandchildren, who brought immeasurable happiness to her life. She adored watching them play sports and engage in other activities, and her love for them knew no bounds.

An independent and strong woman, Debbie was deeply committed to her family and loved ones. She had a zest for life and enjoyed the simple pleasures, whether it was spending time at the beach, visiting the casinos, or taking afternoon Mustang rides, which she cherished. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she delighted in the traditions and the joy the season brought. A hard worker with a kind and caring heart, Debbie spent many years at Hill-Rom and was dedicated, loyal, and always there for those who needed her.

Debbie’s culinary skills were unmatched, and she made the best mac & cheese, a dish that will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to enjoy it. She also loved dining at Texas Roadhouse and watching HGTV, often enjoying episodes more than once. She was an avid fan of the Indiana Pacers.

Debbie was a graduate of Columbus High School in 1972 and spent her life spreading love, kindness, and laughter to everyone she met. She will be remembered for her strength, generosity, and the special place she held in the hearts of her family and friends.

Debbie is survived by her children, grandchildren, and sisters, Vicki Marshall of Shelbyville, Indiana, and Teresa Evans of Columbus, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Donna Scudder, and her brother, Randy Scudder.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg, Indiana. An additional hour of calling will take place before the service on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Father John Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
