Dennis E. "Big Daddy" Clark

Dennis E. “Big Daddy” Clark, 72, of Greensburg passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. Dennis was born February 3, 1950, in Greensburg, Indiana as the son of Lewis and Anna Clark.

Dennis grew up in Greensburg, attended Greensburg High School, and graduated in 1968. After graduation he went on to serve his country and joined the United States Air Force. He served in the Air Force for seven and a half years and then went on to serve for another four years in the United States Army. After serving his country he worked at Batesville Casket Company/Hillrom for 28 years. He met the love of his life, Betty Ann (Hoegeman) Clark and married her on June 19, 1976. Dennis was a Golden Eagle of the Eagles Lodge in Greensburg. He was a member of the American Legion Post #129. Dennis was always known as the life of the party, he loved his grandkids, socializing, and watching T.V.

Dennis is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Betty Ann Clark; children: Bryan Clark, Stephanie (Garrett) Irvine; grandchildren: Jonathan Irvine, Luke Irvine, Maci Irvine; sisters: Barbara Jones, Nancy Hoegeman; sisters-in-law: Beatrice “Kay” Hicks, Mary Hoegeman; brother-in-law, Richard “Dick” Hoegeman; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, James R. Clark; sister, Rita Clark; sister-in-law, Dianna Robinson; brothers-in-law, Edward Hoegeman, Virgil Hicks, and Rick Jones.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A funeral service will also be held at the funeral home immediately following the visitation at 6:00 pm with Father John Meyer officiating.
