Dorothy M. Burt, 83, died on June 2, 2020 at her home in Greensburg.
Born on March 21, 1937 in Hillsburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of James W. and Minta (Huffer) Phillips.
Dorothy loved to crochet, she loved watching the Cubs, Colts, and NASCAR, and she was very well known for her homemade peanut butter fudge. She lived most of her life in Northern Indiana and recently moved to Greensburg to live with her son, Phillip. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Tom and Katha Batterton and Vickie Crowell for all their help and generosity.
Dorothy was married to George T. Burt on September 1, 1956 and he preceded her in death on April 5, 2018.
She is survived by four sons; Robert Floyd Burt, Phillip Lee Burt, Larry Eugene Burt, Ricky George Burt, one daughter; Dorothea Ann Cummings, 14 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons; James Thomas Burt, Jerry Wayne Burt, seven brothers; Paul, Leo, John, Clarence, Vernon, Francis, and James Phillips, and three sisters; Mildred Arthur, Mary McCoskey, and Phillis Moun.
A family viewing will take place from 11am to 1 pm on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home.
Burial will be held at Scott Cemetery in Scircleville, Indiana at a later date.
