Dorothy I. Schreiner

Dorothy I. Schreiner, 90, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Greensburg.  She was born November 12, 1931 in Decatur County, Indiana the daughter of John B. and Viola A. (Tichenor) Brancamp.

Dorothy worked as a beautician for many years in the Greensburg community. She worked at Kirby Beauty Salon for several years then went on to work with Betty Nobbe. Dorothy was a member of the Eagles Lodge, St. Lawrence Auxiliary, and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Greensburg. She enjoyed dancing with her husband at many venues in the area.

She was married to Frank R. Schreiner, Sr. on September 4, 1950 in Millhousen and he preceded her in death on November 12, 2021.

She is survived by four children: Paula Rose (Ronald) Bales of  Florida, Frank (Janet) Schreiner Jr. of Greensburg, Edward J. Schreiner of Louisville, Patricia I. (Scott) Matus of Texas; one sister, Norma (Bob) Schreiner of Shelbyville; 8 grandchildren: Eric, Erin, Tammy, Angie, Michele, Robbie, Nicole, Craig; and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers: John Brancamp, Leo Brancamp, Paul Brancamp, Clarence Brancamp; sisters: Wilma Buening, Lillian Huff, Mary Ann Voiles, and Pauline Fromer.

Family and friends will gather at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, November 18, 2022, at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Greensburg to pray the rosary. Visitation will follow until the time of the funeral mass to be held at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Memorials may be made to the St. Mary Catholic Church.
