Elizabeth Agnes Dilkes

Elizabeth Agnes Dilkes, 96, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021 in Greensburg, IN. Elizabeth was born on September 25, 1924 in Greensburg as the daughter of Joseph and Laura Ernstes.

Elizabeth graduated from Greensburg High School in 1943. After high school she married the love of her life, Bobby E. “Sam” Dilkes on June 27, 1949. They had three children and remained together until Sam’s passing on November 2, 2000. Elizabeth enjoyed crocheting and sitting on her front porch. She loved her family and spending time with her grandkids. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Elizabeth is survived by her children: Kenneth (Angela) Dilkes, Georgian Edmondson, Linda White; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby “Sam” Dilkes; and brothers: Clarence, Bob, Tony, and Herman.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg from 11am to 12noon. The funeral mass will start immediately following the visitation at noon with Father John Meyer officiating. Burial will be at Rossburg Cemetery in New Point.
