Evelyn M. Metz

Evelyn M. Metz, 94, Greensburg, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at the Morning Breeze in Greensburg. Born, November 8, 1924 in Ripley County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Elmer and Clara (Zins) Galle. Evelyn was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg and a member of the YMCA.  She was married to John F Metz on September 28, 1946 and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2010. She is survived by two sons, Darrell (Nancy) Metz, Batesville, Gary (Becky) Metz, Greensburg; one daughter, Cheryl (Mansure Falatoonzadeh) Metz, Arcadia, Ca.; five grandchildren, Chris and Kevin Metz, Roya, Jasmine and Sarah Falatoonzadeh; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Eugene Galle, Oldenburg, Vernon Galle, New Alcase; three sisters, Marjorie Rauch, Brookville, Shirley Robbins, Pennsylvania, Mary Jane Jansing, Osgood.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Lowell Galle; one sister, Angela Prickel.  A public rosary service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg followed by visitation until 1:00 p.m.  Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the church with Rev. John Meyer officiating.  Interment will be held in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church Building Fund.
