Francella "Fran" Moore, 84, of St. Paul, Indiana passed away Friday, July 22, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. Fran was born on October 15, 1937, in Shelbyville, Indiana to John and Virmal Basey.
Fran went by many names. Mom, Mamaw, Grandma, Grandmother, Aunt Frenchie, and Grandma Rugrats.
Her greatest joys in life were serving Jehovah God, her family, cooking, gardening, watching birds specifically hummingbirds, and singing.
Every morning she started the day waking her family up with a song (or whistling loudly), lifting all the blinds to let the sunshine in and meet the day with a grin. She then would do her daily bible reading and study first thing.
She lived to feed her family and anyone else whether that be at Indian Lakes camping, quick builds, or helping prepare lunches for conventions. She was well known for her fried chicken, potato salad, fudge, no bakes, and pizza cake.
Her home was always open. Each of the 5 generations in her family all remember our friends being welcome to stay as long as they wanted. She especially liked to entertain in the yard on her corner in St. Paul, IN. She was everyone’s grandma.
She had a wicked sense of humor. Her family says she loved to fry chicken and roast people.
Her family will miss her more than words can express but are so grateful for the time and memories we have.
Fran is survived by her children: Larry Moore, Stephen (Pam) Moore, Danny (Pamela) Moore, Cindy (Duane) Sasher, Susan Sweet, Judith (Jerry) Goode, Brandi Tyler; 23 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters; and a number of beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald “Buck” Moore; and children: Gary Joe Moore and Kathleen Hoang.
