George L. Bayne

George L. Bayne, 66 of Greensburg, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022, at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Greensburg, Indiana. He was born on July 4, 1956, in Alabama and was the son of John and Elfriede Bayne.

George graduated from Greensburg High School in 1974. After graduating he went to work for Print Pack for a short time before joining the United States Army which he served in from 1974-1978. After his service, George went back to work for Print Pack and continued working there for the next 24 years. After Print Pack George went on to work at Arvin and then GECOM until his retirement. George was married to Leeann (Montgomery) Bayne on May 9, 1987, and she survives. In his spare time, George enjoyed watching movies, going to car shows, eating at Red Lobster, his dogs: Holly and Pogo, and spending time with family.

George is survived by his wife, Leeann Bayne; sister, Lucy (Robin) Jones; sister-in-law, Janet Bayne; brother-in law, William Montgomery; sister-in-law, Terri (Steven) Hake; brother-in-law, Mark Montgomery; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lee R. Bayne; and sister-in-law, Dana Montgomery.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, September 23, 2022, at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral services will also be held at the funeral home immediately following the visitation at 12:00pm with Rev. Terry Canfield officiating. Burial will take place in Hogan Hill Cemetery.
