Harold H. Brumfield

Harold H. Brumfield, 74, of Greensburg, IN, formerly of Rushville, IN, passed away at 7:34pm on February 19, 2024.

Harold was born February 12, 1950, in Wayne County, West Virginia to the late Samuel and Florence (Crum) Brumfield.

Harold married Beverly A. Foley on August 7, 1976. They lived 45 years in Rush County where they raised their children; Burlan (Heather) Brumfield of Greensburg, IN and Amber (Brumfield) Whited of Greensburg, IN. Harold also adopted Kelly (Issac) Marfo of Oklahoma formerly Shelbyville, IN.

Harold and Beverly moved to Greensburg, IN in 2022, due to illness, where he was cared for by Willows Nursing Home and his son and daughter.

Harold loved bluegrass music and learned to play many instruments by ear including banjo, guitar, harmonica, mandolin, keyboard and even tried the fiddle. He also loved old cars, nature (could identify birds by chirp), talking to everyone (never met a stranger), and his family most of all.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by all his siblings: Joe, Burl, Vadie, Glen, Clottene and Eugene (Bobby).

Also missing Harold are 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg, IN. A memorial service will follow the time of gathering at 1:00 pm, also at the funeral home.
