Helen Jane Bowen

Helen Jane (Carroll) Bowen, 61, of New Castle, IN formerly of Holton, IN passed away peacefully at her home with her loving daughter and siblings by her side on Wednesday morning,  January 22, 2025.

Helen was born October 20, 1963, in Jamestown, TN and was the daughter of the late Anna Mae (Logan) and Howard M. Carroll of Holton IN.

Helen worked at US Shoe Company (3-5 yrs), Delta Faucet (20 yrs) and Petro Truck Stop (14 yrs). Her hobbies and interests included: listening to John Mellencamp, cheering for the Tennessee Titans, playing Bingo, eating at Texas Roadhouse with family, brunch with her friend Judy Gulley, and mostly spending time with her grand and great grandchildren.

Helen is survived by her loving daughter Michelle Imel of New Castle, IN, and son Shawn Meisberger. Grandmother to Austin, Carli, Lexi, Colton, Tara, and Jayden. Great Grandmother to Gunner, Blakely, Bre, and Violet. Adopted Grandmother to many loved ones. Beloved sister of Don Carroll, Liz Wesson (Al), Lucy Claborn (Tommy), HB Carroll (Sherry), Charles Carroll (Monica) and Robert Carroll (Kathy), as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Bowen, and parents, Anna Mae and Howard Carroll.

She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 27, 2025 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Porter Oliger Pearson Funeral Home, 302 N Franklin St, Greensburg IN 47240. Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm with Pastor Rick Cross officiating. Interment will follow at the Holton Cemetery in Holton, IN.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and to the family.
