James Lee Catron, Sr.

On Friday, October 8, 2021, James Lee Catron, Sr., loving son, brother, and father of two, passed away at the age of 54.

James, or Jimmy as he was known to his family, was born on July 25, 1967, in Greensburg, Indiana to Ruth (Meeks) and Estell Catron, Jr.  He attended Greensburg High School and worked as a tree trimmer. Jimmy was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan and had a love for country music.

He was preceded in death by his father, Estell; his grandparents, James and Christina (Wall) Rodgers; and his uncle, Ronald Catron. He is survived by his mother, Ruth; his children: James Catron, Jr. and Brittany Phillips; his sisters: Pam Jackson and Christine Flory; and several uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m., with the funeral service immediately following.
