On April 17, 1998, he married Coral Miles, the love of his life. They lived on the Shelhorn farm and later moved to Adams. They enjoyed spending time together, traveling, outdoors, gardening, planting flowers, landscaping, and stonework.

Jim spent his career as a diesel mechanic, manufacturing machinist for several years, and parts delivery driver.

(Ashley) Sons; his brother, Charles (Penny) Shelhorn; sister-in-law, Debbie Reed; Aunts: Barbara Olinski, MI., Joan Underhill, Linda (Darrel) Semon, Judy Harrison, all of Greensburg, and Beverly Hewitt of SC. He was preceded in death by his infant brothers, John & Joseph; his grandparents, Robert & Gertrude Wisswell and Richard & Irene Shelhorn, and his brother-in-law, Lance Miles.

Following Jim's wishes, there will be cremation with no funeral service. Arrangements for a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
