Jane Anne Holden

Jane Anne Holden, 83, formerly of Peru, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. Jane was born on August 18, 1940, in Plymouth, Indiana the daughter of Albert and Mary (Whitcomb) Comer.

Janie was primarily a homemaker and had a passion for the outdoors. She loved flowers and caring for the gardens at her home. If you needed the help of her “green thumb” she was always happy to help. Jane was talented in crafts, making beautiful floral arrangements and beaded jewelry. Janie was an active member of Ole Olsen Memorial Theatre, performing in a number of productions and assisting as a makeup artist.

Janie (MeMe) is survived by her children: Ronda (Eddy) Lee, Kimberly Walrod, Todd (Chris) Walrod; grandchildren: Matthew (Hayley) Lee, Erica Thomas, Chelsey (Chris) Peters, Mitchell (Jacqueline) Walrod, Madison (Ryan) Rebholz, Kayla Walrod, Karea Walrod, Seth Walrod, Courtney Morris; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Lynette Pierce; brother, Kent Comer and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her son, David March Walrod Jr.; sisters: Sue Ellen Gilleland, Marilyn Inglehern, and Carolyn Lewis.
